COVID-19, in a matter of weeks, has severely disrupted the daily life and routine of youth and families across the globe, causing a major sense of threat and unpredictability. Youth with histories of trauma and those coming from disadvantaged families are at higher risk of developing adverse psychological reactions and are now even more vulnerable to further re-traumatization, abuse and neglect.
