Hope Implementation Guide: Community-Led Care for Orphans and Vulnerable Children

World Vision HIV/AIDS Hope Initiative

World Vision’s HIV/AIDS Hope Initiative has developed a series of Hope Implementation Guides to equip World Vision field staff to implement key elements of World Vision’s HIV/AIDS response more easily and effectively. These guides are intended to complement the World Vision ADP Toolkit for HIV/AIDS Programming. While the toolkit focuses on design, monitoring, and evaluation of HIV/AIDS responses, the guides provide detailed guidance on implementation.

This implementation guide outlines programming principles and practical options for OVC response. It includes detailed information on program staffing, start-up work plans, and monitoring and evaluation. It also includes a detailed section on references and resources, as well as a list of technical resource contacts. This implementation guide draws on the experience, learnings, and good practice of World Vision and other organizations and is intended to cover programming inside World Vision Area Development Programs (ADPs) and outside ADPs.
