This report from SOS Children’s Villages and the University of Bedfordshire provides reviews and assessments of the implementation of the Guidelines for the Alternative Care of Children in 21 countries around the world. In 2007, UNICEF and Save the Children UK convened a meeting entitled - Advancing Policy Relevant Research Around Social Welfare Services. In response to the 2007 meeting, UNICEF Child Protection section commissioned three policy-relevant systematic reviews examining the relationship between cash transfers and social welfare services.
