Executive Summary
In April 2016, Save the Children International (SCI) launched a maternal and child cash transfer program (MCCT), LEGACY (Learning, Evidence Generation, and Advocacy for Catalyzing Policy). 1. A monthly cash transfer to mothers in their last two trimesters of pregnancy until the child turns two years old (“first 1000 days”); and
2. A monthly Social and Behavioral Change Communication (SBCC)…

Executive Summary
In 2013, UNICEF underwent a significant reorientation of its Child Protection Programme in response to an extensive mid-term review (MTR) and changes in the political and social context of Myanmar. The opening of the country in 2012 and the significant push for reform by the Government created the space for UNICEF to shift the focus of its Child Protection Programme to target a systems building strategy and approach, to best address the multiple challenges hindering the provision of protection for children.
With this backdrop, in August 2013, UNICEF…
ABSTRACT
This article examines the discoursal shift to “reintegration” within trafficking protection programmes and policy, with emphasis upon Cambodia. The evidence indicates that nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) are progressively making “reintegration” their primary protective objective. Yet a lack of conceptual clarity prevails and is being exacerbated by models and forms of guidance which position NGOs as directly undertaking or providing for the achievement of reintegration. This article argues that NGOs and their practitioners cannot “reintegrate” anyone – at least not in any…
Foreword
The purpose of this book is to primarily to introduce the PDAK – Pusat Dukungan Anak dan Keluarga (Child and Family Support Centre). The PDAK was conceived predicated upon the concept of providing a direct response to children and families experiencing challenges in care and protection. The interventions conducted by the PDAK seek to identify solutions other than the traditional approach of placing children in institutions. The PDAK is one of the strategies adopted by Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik - Partner of Save the Children and the Ministry of Social Affairs in…
