This report presents the findings of a mappings and assessments review of child protection systems in 14 countries including Cambodia. The principal purpose of the study was to consolidate existing information on the shared strengths, challenges and priorities for developing and strengthening child protection systems in the region that will better safeguard children from all forms of violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation.

This study, coordinated by the United Nations Inter-agency Project on Human Trafficking, draws findings from in-depth interviews with 252 trafficked persons about their experiences of (re)integration, including successes and challenges, as well as future plans and aspirations. The trafficked persons interviewed for this study came from all six countries in the Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS): Cambodia, China, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam.
