Despite governments, citizens and children taking action to end this violence, the percentages of Bangladesh’s young women who marry before the age of 18 and children reporting the use of violent discipline in their homes suggest that current efforts to end violence against children are not enough. The Regional Strategic Framework for the Protection, Care and Support of Children Affected by HIV/AIDS provides guidance to the eight member States of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) for a consistent approach across South Asia to protect, care and support children affected by HIV/AIDS.
