Abstract
In recent years, there has been an increasing emphasis on placing children in foster care. Our main research aims to explore the connections between the future orientation of disadvantaged young people living in residential care homes and foster families. The STYLE Project established a collaboriate research project between Greece and the UK to examine the issues surrounding youth with mental health difficulties and those who have grown up in foster care. This project aimed to understand the work aspirations of a group of vulnerable young people in care and the barriers they face in terms of youth employment.
