The purpose of investment cases is to demonstrate how financial allocations will advance specific public policy objectives, such as promoting healthy childhoods and enhancing human capital. In the context of care reform, investment cases aim to outline the resources needed to transition the child care system towards family-based approaches, prevent child-family separation, and reintegrate children from institutional care into familial settings. Children who experience deprivation of liberty are distinguished by a high prevalence of complex, co-occurring health needs that necessitate coordinated, high-quality healthcare. Emerging evidence of very poor health outcomes after deprivation of liberty suggests that in addition to ongoing efforts to prevent detention, more should be done to improve the health of these children, both in detention and after they return to the community. Setting and implementing minimum standards for healthcare in detention can help to drive improvements in the quality of care, and thereby improve health…
This is a corporal punishment country report for Guinea-Bissau. While prohibition of corporal punishment is still to be achieved in the home and day care, the Child Protection Code 2021 of Guinea-Bissau prohibits corporal punishment in alternative care settings, schools and in penal institutions.
The Code also prohibits physical and psychological violence, including humiliation and verbal aggression. However, it does not explicitly prohibit corporal punishment of children, however light, in the home.

The purpose of this paper is to evaluate how effective Child Protection Services and Law Enforcement Agencies are in addressing violence and its impact on children's welfare. It examines existing approaches and models while suggesting ways to…
The article deals with a very up-to-date issue, the ‘voice of the child’, i.e. the implementation of the child's right to be heard in parental responsibility matters and cases. The author's aim is to find an answer to the question of how the Hungarian codification, judiciary and academic legal literature have changed over the last decade and how they have adapted to the modern child-focused standards.
The significance of the topic emerges from the fact that both the exercise and the rendering of parental responsibilities is somehow problematic in many families and this difficulty is…
