This document presents an overview of the first version of the EU monitoring framework for the European Child Guarantee (ECG). It was developed by the Indicators’ Sub-Group (ISG) of the Social Protection Committee (SPC) and the European Commission, and endorsed by the SPC in November 2023. It includes first a general presentation of the framework and then a more detailed presentation of its sections (with some relevant data), and a last section identifying the gaps that remain to be filled at a later stage.

The National Social Protection Policy provides a framework for delivering social protection coherently, effectively and efficiently in a way that is holistic and properly targeted. It defines an understanding of social protection and a social protection floor within a Ghanaian context. The framework is in six (6) parts consisting of an introduction; the country context; a situation analysis of social protection; the policy focus and direction; the implementation framework and institutional relationships.
