When overseas adoptees from South Korea reach adulthood, many choose to return to the country to learn more about the country of their birth and search for family members. KoRoot was established to support overseas adoptees from South Korea with the challenges they face in navigating an unfamiliar country and seeking answers about their family background and identity.
KoRoot is a member of Family for Every Child.
International China Concern is a Christian organization founded in 1993 by David Gotts after seeing firsthand in China the suffering of children with disabilities, who had been abandoned and left without hope in desperate conditions. In the beginning, ICC sent short-term teams into China to provide care in government welfare centres. Later, they established permanent locations which provide full-time family-style care for children in Changsha and Hengyang in Hunan Province.

The Beijing Children's Legal Aid & Research Center (BCLARC) was founded in 1999 by Mr. Tong Lihua as China's first NGO specializing in children's rights. In addition to its central office in Beijing, BCLARC maintains lawyers in its 16 satellite offices across 16 Chinese provinces. BCLARC officially registered with the Beijing Bureau of Civil Affairs in May 2003.
Child sexual abuse in China is being increasingly discussed and there is a need for more knowledge and prevention mechanisms. The project focuses on implementing a sexual abuse prevention programme aimed at migrant children. The programme consists of lessons, group discussions, role playing as well as a comic book. The organization also involves parents, community members, teachers and social workers and provides psychosocial support to identified abuse survivors
Care for Children partners with governments in Asia to help create a positive alternative to institutional care through local family-based care for disadvantaged children. Care For Children’s vision is to see a million children moved from institutional care into families.
In China, Care for Children helped build up family-based care a nationally recognised practice. Care for Children is also working to build robust models of best practice in family-based care that will serve as beacons for the nation.
