AHOPE stands for African HIV Orphans: Project Embrace and AHOPE for Children is a non-profit that was created to assist in the funding of the ENAT HIV Children’s Center, established exclusively for the care of orphans infected with HIV home for the HIV positive children. In 2004, The Center was closed and replaced by a new non-profit, AHOPE Ethiopia.

Community Concern of Orphans and Development Association (COCODA) formally registered as a non-governmental organization in Tanzania in the year 2000.
