This Framework is designed as a practical resource to promote accountability for serious violations of international law committed against children in armed conflict. The Framework provides comprehensive background information, including definitions and context, as well as practical guidance in the form of step-by-step methodology for developing well-informed, context-specific, and feasible options for advancing accountability for children in armed conflict. The Framework includes guidance on family reunification and child protection. The Framework also includes examples from Afghanistan, South Sudan, Colombia, Uganda, Syria, Myanmar, Democratic Republic of Congo, Chad, and Nepal.
