This document compares three versions of the same home visiting model, aimed at improving parent-child interactions and child development: the well-known Jamaica model, which was gradually scaled up from an efficacy trial (‘proof of concept’) in Jamaica, to a pilot in Colombia, to an at-scale program in Peru. It first describes the design, implementation and impacts of these three programs. COVID-19 has become a worldwide pandemic impacting child protection services (CPSs) in many countries. With quarantine and social distancing restrictions, school closures, and recreational venues suspended or providing reduced access, the social safety net for violence prevention has been disrupted significantly. This webinar heard from three of Family for Every Child's member organisations about their programmes to both integrate and reintegrate children on the move. From Uyisenga Ni Imanzi in Rwanda webinar participants heard about their programme to reintegrate street-connected children; from Taller de Vida in Colombia, attendees heard of the role of their art therapy in the reintegration of children involved in armed conflict; and from METAdrasi in Greece participants heard about their work to integrate unaccompanied minors.

There is an urgent need to strengthen early childhood development and education in emergencies (ECDEiE) globally. Colombia has faced protracted and acute crises for decades. Globally, an estimated 50 million children are on the move - leaving home, their communities and sometimes their countries for work or to escape violence, conflict, poverty or discrimination. Others may be displaced and separated, or taken from families against their will for exploitation of various kinds.
