ReThink Orphanages operates at a global and a regional level. At the global level we work to align vision and voice and share knowledge and good practice among our partner organisations. At a regional level, our focus is on engaging with stakeholders in priority countries. These are countries that have been identified as making a significant contribution to the institutionalisation of children in low- and middle-income countries through financial support and volunteering in orphanages.

History
In 2013 The Better Care Network and Save the Children UK began an inter-agency initiative involving Better Care Network Netherlands, ECPAT, Faith to Action Initiative, Friends International, Hope and Homes for Children, SOS Children’s Villages, and UNICEF.
